Section One — The Question Nobody Asks

Question 1 Dr. Cindy Trimm asks: "Could things be the way they are because you are the way you are — and what can you change that can change everything?" Read it again slowly. What is your honest answer to this question as it relates to your professional life right now?
Question 2 What is survival mode — in your own words — and do you recognize it in yourself right now? Be specific.

Box Breathing — Pause & Practice

The Four Steps — Complete All Four Cycles Before Continuing
Inhale Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of 4. Fill your lungs completely from the bottom up.
Hold Hold your breath gently for a count of 4. Do not strain. Simply be still.
Exhale Release slowly through your mouth for a count of 4. Let tension leave with the breath.
Hold Hold at the bottom — lungs empty — for a count of 4. Then begin again.
Four cycles. Approximately ninety seconds. Complete all four before answering below.
Reflection Question — After Completing Box Breathing What came up for you during and after the breathing exercise? What did you notice about your body, your thoughts, or your emotional state? Write freely — there are no wrong answers.

Section Three — The Patterns Worth Looking At

Question 3 Which of the four patterns do you recognize most in yourself right now — letting others decide your worth, letting others make your career decisions, living in survival mode so long it became normal, or reacting instead of responding? Explain why.
Question 4 Where did that pattern come from? Who or what taught you to operate this way? Be as honest as you can.
Question 5 What would change in your professional life if you stopped operating from that pattern starting this week? Name one specific thing.

Section Six — Before You Sign Up: An Honest Conversation

Question 10 After engaging with this session honestly — are you here for a resume update or a life change? There is no wrong answer. But knowing which one will help you get the most from what comes next.
